What you need to make Apple Crumble Loaf:

For the loaf:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the crumble topping:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

How to make it:

Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare loaf pan: Grease and flour a loaf pan.

Make the loaf batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples and cinnamon.

Prepare the crumble topping: In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and cold butter. Use your fingers to crumble the butter into the dry ingredients.

Assemble the loaf: Pour half of the loaf batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the crumble topping evenly over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and crumble topping.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:

Don’t overmix the batter. Overmixing can lead to a tough loaf. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.

Use cold butter for the crumble topping. Cold butter will help create a flaky and crumbly texture.

Let the loaf cool completely before slicing. This will allow the flavors to develop and prevent the loaf from crumbling.
