Ingredients to Make the Oatmeal Scotchies Cookie Recipe
Start preparing your grocery list of ingredients needed to make the Oatmeal Scotchies Cookie Recipe. You may already have most of the ingredients required, such as:
Unsifted Flour. You will need to get the flour to prepare the cookies. It is one of several essential ingredients.
Baking Soda. Using baking soda helps your cookies come out perfectly instead of too dense or too thin.
Cinnamon. Adding cinnamon to your cookie dough will give these cookies an added fall-like taste that pairs well with the butterscotch morsels.
Brown Sugar. Use brown sugar to give your cookies a slightly sweet taste.
Vanilla Extract. Add real vanilla extract to the cookies because vanilla’s hint provides even more flavor to these tasty cookies.
Quaker Oats. When making oatmeal cookies, the oats are a must!
Butterscotch Morsels. The butterscotch morsels are the most important ingredient because they give the oatmeal cookies their amazing butterscotch candy-like flavor.
I prefer the Nestle Toll House Butterscotch Morsels Brand (NOT SPONSORED) You can buy them here or at your local grocery store.
How to Store the Oatmeal Scotchies Cookies
After you make the Oatmeal Scotchies Cookie Recipe, you have multiple storage options. You can put them in a metal cookie tin, plastic food container, or large resealable freezer bag.
There is no need to freeze your cookies or put them in the fridge. You can leave them out in the container of your choosing and expect them to stay fresh for at least a week before they may start to get a bit hard. If your cookies get hard after a week, you can smash them down and add them to yogurt and ice cream.
